First Impressions

A toddler seat that grows with your child from 4 months to 4 years – allowing them to stay rear-facing until they reach approximately 2 years old – the AxissFix not only has several great features designed to increase safety, but is also a very comfortable option for both parent and child.

The range of colours on offer is good. Common car interior colours are available for those dads who want to match up, but there are also some fun patterns and bright choices for those who prefer more pop. This is particularly nice if you tend to let your toddler pick out the colour they like most.

Features

The real standouts on the AxissFix are the patented Automatic Safety Belt system to make sure the belt is always taut and a 5-point safety harness, ensuring a high level of safety restraint for your child.

Easy to install, the instructions provided for the seat are simple and clear. There are also visual indicators to ensure the ISOFIX installation and Top Tether tightening is correct; a very useful feature for those early days when you are getting used to a new seat, and a reassuring addition for any rushed trips out. The Top Tether – running from the top of the seat to the top of the vertical ISOFIX base – feels very secure and anchors well in the event of a collision. However, it may be a bit fiddly if you move between cars a lot, definitely worth taking into consideration if you’re a two-car family.

Importantly, the AxissFix offers a comfortable ride for your little one. It reclines for better sleeping and includes a 7-position headrest, meaning you can make all the adjustments to find the right fit for your child as they grow, and a 4-position recline, for both front- and rear-facing, to ensure a restful ride for both of you.

To make life a little easier for parents, the seat also rotates a full 360 degrees. Not only does this mean no awkward bending, but if you have a 3-door car, it lets you easily strap your child in from the front and then simply swivel them into the rear-facing position.
