Peugeot Names Top restaurants for EV Drivers

Peugeot UK has ranked the Michelin Green Star Award winners to find the top restaurant for EV drivers, writes Tim Barnes-Clay.

Using the 2024 list of Michelin Green Star-winning restaurants, the French automaker compared how accessible these restaurants are to the UK’s 15 most populous cities using the 257-mile electric range of the Peugeot E-308.

The Michelin Green Star is an annual award that highlights restaurants within the Michelin Guide that are at the forefront of sustainable practices in the kitchen. The Michelin Green Star winners all offer dining experiences that combine culinary excellence with eco-friendly commitments.

Apricity in Mayfair, London placed first and can be reached from 12 of the 15 major cities of the UK using the full range of the E-308. Drivers heading to the capital can also enjoy an extensive EV charging network. Apricity has an impressive 650 charging points within just a mile of the award-winning restaurant. The contemporary British restaurant is praised by the guide for its low-waste cooking and sustainable food sourcing.

London locations took the top four spots of the rankings with EV drivers able to take advantage of the capital’s Congestion Charge and Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ). In second place came St. Barts in the City of London, in third is Silo in Hackney Wick, and fourth place went to Petersham Nurseries Café in Richmond-upon-Thames.

Wilsons in Bristol came fifth in the Peugeot rankings and was the highest rated of the Michelin Green Star list outside of London. The Green Star winner can also be reached from 12 of the 15 most populous cities within with range of the E-308, whilst being within five miles of 20 DC rapid chargers.

The Peugeot E-308 is propelled by a new electric powertrain consisting of a 156hp electric motor and a 54kWh battery providing an electric range of up to 257 miles (WLTP). Drivers can benefit from 100kW DC rapid charging, which will juice the battery from 20-80% in less than 25 minutes.
