The exquisite four-door saloon is a bona fide keeper – not least because of its beautiful looks.
Tired of German cars, and sick of Japanese motors? Looking for something stylish and sexy? Well, Alfa Romeo is a brand that fits the bill.
The gorgeous Giulia is perhaps the most exquisite model Alfa makes. The four-door saloon has curves in all the right places – in fact, it looks like it goes to the gym every day – it’s just a joy to feast your eyes on.
The beauty of the five-seater doesn’t stop there. Step inside, and the Giulia leaves you spellbound. The seats cocoon you, and the dashboard wraps around you. The scent of the leather seats seduces you. The Italian could be your automotive mistress. Yes, really – you could, and maybe should buy this car for all these reasons.
But there’s always a down to earth moment in life. And, clearly Covid-19 is a concern when it comes to testing cars. I mean, you never know how many people have been in the test vehicle before you.
Fortunately, a new aerosol spray, designed to neutralise Coronavirus, was on hand for me to disinfectant the Alfa. The “CV1 Shot” from Euro Car Parts only cost me £9.99, and has been developed in line with the guidelines from the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control.
Precise Steering
Anyway, once I felt I’d done all I could to get rid of any nasties lurking in the cabin, I could enjoy the Alfa Romeo fully. The car drives as pleasingly as it looks. Perhaps even more so.
The rear-wheel-drive saloon steers with precision, and the automatic gearbox changes through the cogs fluidly. The suspension ensures the Giulia stays flat in corners, and when you want to sit back and hit cruise control, the Italian munches motorway miles comfortably, effortlessly and efficiently.
This car shouldn’t be your mistress – it should be the one you commit to. It’s a keeper – no two ways about it.
