Your child could make you a rich man at tomorrow’s Grand National.
The Grand National starts tomorrow and there is every chance you could be a winner at the races. But do you stand a better chance if your child picks the horse?
A survey by YouGov and GrandNational.fans found that the answer just might be yes! A mighty 70% of all betting parents would let their kids pick their lucky steed, with over half of those polled claiming a winning bet.
But with time running out to place a bet before the Grand National kicks off tomorrow at 5:15PM, even knowing which horse is which can be an issue.
What are the odds?
There are 40 runners ready to race in the Grand National, so picking your favourite to win isn’t ever going to be easy. But it’s no surprise that every site and betting shop have their own favourites.
However, the top five favourites are consistent across multiple sites including grandnational.org.uk and Oddschecker.com.
- Anibale Fly – New to Aintree and the leading contender in tomorrow’s race. The recent winner of the Paddy Power Chase, Anibale Fly’s odds are numbered at 10/1.
- Tiger Roll – Winner of the 4M race at the Cheltenham Festival in 2017, Tiger Roll has finished in the top three of 10 out of his 15 races and is a solid contender for the win. On Paddy Power, Tiger Roll’s looking at 11/1 odds.
- Blaklion – Finishing at fourth place in 2017’s Grand National, Blaklion returns with 12/1 odds. A popular choice after winning the Becher Chase in December.
- Total Recall – A newcall to the race, Total Recall stands a solid chance with 12/1 odds from Betfair.
- Seeyouatmidnight – Easily the most likely ‘dark horse’ of the lot, Seeyouatmidnight came third in the 2016 Scottish National, sporting riskier odds of 14/1 from Paddypower.
Around 600 million people worldwide are expected to be watching the race at Aintree.
Now could be the time to stop horsing around and perhaps let your child make you a rich man.
