In a shameless bid to boost Yuletide sales, Sony has given the PS2 a minor revamp, while simultaneously dropping the price to £139. It now sports a built-in infra-red port, along with slightly enhanced DVD playback. We especially love the limited edition silver version, which looks like a million dollars compared to the oh-so-Nineties ‘Darth Vadar’s toast rack’ style of the standard PS2. It costs another tenner, but does come with two matching silver joypads. There’s no classier way to enjoy the connoisseur’s choice of football game - Pro Evolution 3 – on Xmas day, in between changing nappies.
